Flock AFO does not require an account and does not include advertising or third-party analytics SDKs. It does not keep a Flock AFO location history or accept user-submitted camera reports.

Foreground location is optional. Cameras Near Me uses it while Flock AFO is open to show mapped records nearby; it is not stored as a location history. If you enable Notify when near for a saved camera, Flock AFO asks for Always location and notification permissions so iOS can monitor that saved camera area after the app closes. You can turn the alert off for each saved camera or change permissions in iOS Settings.

Camera bookmarks, private notes, and saved alert settings are stored on your device and excluded from device backup. They remain until you remove a saved camera or delete the app. Removing a saved camera also removes its note and alert setting.

Apple receives information needed for requested MapKit search, map display, camera-coordinate enrichment, and directions. Apple’s handling is described in Apple’s privacy policy.

The FlockHopper tile host receives the request IP address and viewed map areas needed to return camera data. Those requests do not include your device’s precise location fix. Flock AFO uses public camera-location data made available through FlockHopper’s deflock-data project, which derives from OpenStreetMap. We acknowledge FlockHopper and OpenStreetMap contributors for this source data; mapped data uses the ODbL 1.0 license.

Cameras Along Route sends the origin and destination you choose to Apple Maps for directions. Requests to retrieve mapped camera records along an available route include the map areas needed for that result. The map, Cameras Near Me, and Cameras Along Route are free to use.

Apple’s StoreKit handles optional one-time supporter purchases. Flock AFO does not receive payment-card details. A verified supporter purchase can change the app icon; it does not unlock camera features. When you open a source record, the destination handles information under its own privacy practices.

Community-mapped information can be incomplete or out of date. It does not establish that a camera is active or scanning.
